The first feature we look at when we’re about to land on a potential choice for our next smartphones is the device’s performance (because we need to have the latest technology updates). Next factor usually comes in as the camera and somewhere along the line, the price. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to some of the most recent smartphones (especially if you’ve been eyeballing Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 8), then the LG Stylo 3 might be the right model for you.
The Good about LG Stylo 3
While the Stylo 3 doesn’t have all the cool features of LG’s flagship G6, it packs its own punch. Those who like taking notes or plain doodling with styluses will have fun with this model. Not only is the stylus fun to use, but the Stylo 3’s screen is also responsive, a perfect complement to the stylus.
The LG Stylo 3 also has good battery life- it holds a 3,080MAh removable battery, charges fast and heats up slow, except with applications like Netflix and YouTube. Additionally, this model has a 13MP back camera- picture quality isn’t great, but at least decent. Its front 5-megapixel camera, however, does the job well even under the worst lighting conditions.
The Bad about LG Stylo 3
Smartphones that have fingerprint sensors and home buttons in the same place (calling on Apple) are convenient. On the other hand, they become troublesome when the two features interfere with the ease of unlocking the device, as is the case with the Stylo 3.
Next, LG’s latest creation misses out on a few of the latest technology updates we’ve become accustomed to in smartphones. It can’t select texts and phrases to translate, isn’t waterproof and can’t create GIFs. It heats up fast and lags even more often.
Conclusion
While the LG Stylo 3 is not as advanced as other big name smartphones, it’s one of the best in its class considering its $130 price tag.
I like this type of phone. It cant compete with Note but its good other phones with stylus are being made.
